Joyce Garcia has dedicated 40 years to serving the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District (HLPUSD). As a mother of three HLPUSD graduates, a 28-year school manager, and a 16-year leader with SEIU Local 99, Joyce's commitment to the district is deeply personal and professional.

As a dedicated single mother and a proud product of the Hacienda La Puente Unified School District, Christine is committed to serving the community with transformative leadership. Christine’s tenure has been marked by significant achievements in academics, she was instrumental in launching new and engaging programs like the Youth Cinema Project and Speech and Debate, and expanded programs like Conga Kids to ensure that students receive a well-rounded education that prepares them for future success.

Our Union
The Hacienda La Puente Teachers Association is a collection of approximately 1000 educators (early childhood through adult education), counselors, psychologists, speech pathologists, program specialists, and nurses that work with over 18,000 students.
We believe by working together in the best interest of students, we can positively influence student growth and achievement, improve the working conditions of our members, and advocate for our profession.
